Working from home

I currently work at a cable company that has the technology that allows many employees to work from home. I try to take the light rail at least once a week, but I could reduce the carbon emissions from my vehicle by being able to work from home. It doesn't have to be all of the time, but half of the time would be sufficient. Then if you multiply that by the number of professionals that are able to do the same, it would make a significant impact on reducing pollution and traffic congestion. A lot of the smaller companies are starting to do this, but the major corporations insist on employees being at the company locations. Maybe perhaps if they were given some incentives, we could convince them to "Go Green" and reduce global warming. It would also help reduce dependence on foreign oil.
