In 2002, I founded Clothes Make The Man based on the Dress for Success model. I did this as a way of making amends for a big negative in my life (going to prison) and also to help a segment of the population that, here in Connecticut, and to an extent throughout the US was going without attention to their needs. CMTM provides low-income and disadvantaged men with quality interview attire. Men receive one complete outfit prior to a job search or interview, a second after gaining employment and a third after one-year on the job. To date, September 2007, we have worked with almost 700 men! We feel we are making a difference, enabling our clients, by giving them that little extra, to gain living-wage employment, and become productive, self-sufficient, and contributing members of our communities.
