Clothes Make The Man

In 2002, I founded Clothes Make The Man based on the Dress for Success model. I did this as a way of making amends for a big negative in my life (going to prison) and also to help a segment of the population that, here in Connecticut, and to an extent throughout the US was going without attention to their needs. CMTM provides low-income and disadvantaged men with quality interview attire. Men receive one complete outfit prior to a job search or interview, a second after gaining employment and a third after one-year on the job. To date, September 2007, we have worked with almost 700 men! We feel we are making a difference, enabling our clients, by giving them that little extra, to gain living-wage employment, and become productive, self-sufficient, and contributing members of our communities. In addition to the clothing we provide coaching on interviewing skills, interpersonal etiquette, grooming and style and access to our job board. CMTM can reached at www.cmtm.org and at 860-293-2909.
