Run For Congo Women-Chicago

Good Evening,

Last year a friend and I organized an event in Chicago called "Run For Congo Women 5k"....after learning of the horrors that the Congolese women and children were facing everyday. Our global effort (Run For Congo Women)is under Women For Women Int.

Last year there were about 20 participants....this year...I am close to 150 registrants with 3 weeks to go until our event on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007. Initially, I wanted to be a voice for the Congolese.....educating as many people as possible...this year I am encouraging all participants to raise a one year sponsorship for Women For Women or a flat donation.

Just a little note to show how I am giving back to our world to insist on freedoms, privileges and safety for everyone on our tiny planet.
