Hazel's Dream

by Celeste English | gift type: Other, Corporate

My friend who sits by me at work, Diane Yates, has a sister-in-law who is 48, dying of cancer, with 4 months to live. She has never been on vacation. Her dream is to take her only grandchile to Disney World.
I contacted a friend of mine, who has a charity, Never Too Late, which grants wishes to terminally ill adults. He suggested a couple of organizations to contact for such a large wish. Diane, after realizing there was alot of paperwork involved, and Hazel is running out of time, sent out an email to her friends, asking for frequent flyer miles to donate. I forwarded that email to my friends. Within 24 hours, we had 2 roundtrip airline tickets paid for, a condo, tickets to Disney. Now she is working on the rest of the trip. It is so amazing how fast everything is coming together.
