Connecting with Giving

My husband and I are trying to teach our children about giving and the meaning of giving. I am looking for an organization where my children can be connected to the giving.

We have already made loans through the KIVA Organization. We are now looking to adopt a child/family. I would like my children to feel connected to their giving and that is why I am hoping the children will be able to correspond with the child/family that they are helping. I just want to make sure that it is a legitimate organization and that the majority of the money goes to the family/child. Can you give us some direction on how to find the right organization?

We are a family of modest means, but feel so lucky for all that we have. As a family, we would love to give back to someone else and make a small difference.

Thank you President Clinton for dedicating your life to helping people. I have the greatest respect for all that you have done for our Country and the World. I would like my children to experience the joy of giving and it is my hope that it will be a priority for my family for generations to come.
