Reading inspires the imagination of children

I & my husband, both Canadian Citizens, are the founders of the TLD School. It is our dream and vision to help people in need by giving back to low in-come families in Africa. our educational philosophical view is that children, whether rich or poor, deserve and have the right to a good education. Every child deserves a chance at a brighter and more promising future with out a big price tag.

TLD School is a private Nursery & Primary school established to assist low-income families who find it difficult to send their child to regular private school because they could not fit the big price tag into their budget.

How is our fee structure different?

- We make every effort to assist low-income families at TLD?

- TLD School fees are about half of what other private schools charge per semester.

- Per semester our school fees range from N2500 to N3500. Other schools range from N5000 to N6000.

- At the TLD School, transportation is free. That's right, transportation is included in your registration fee. Other schools' transportation fees range from N1000 per semester to N2000 for transportation.

- At the TLD School we do not send children home because their fees are late or parents have difficulty affording their children's school fees. Our normal procedures is to invite the parents for one on one discussion to see how we can help. If possible, we may carry over to the fees to the next semester or may develop a long term payment program. Under certain circumstances, we enroll some children in our one-year sponsorship program to help them get on their feet. Presently, we have 15 children on our sponsorship program. Their fees are funded by the school and donations that we receive.

Where do the school fees go? All profits go toward improving the environment at the TLD school and toward the TLD sponsorship program. That's why we need everyones help. Please help support low-income families in their effort to provide their children a brighter tomorrow. Well educated and children with a positive outlook make all of our lives better.
