A Reader's Guide to GIVING

Posted by cfstaff on November 30, 2007

Since the publication of Bill Clinton's new book GIVING in September, thousands of readers have written in with their own stories of giving, prompting publisher Alfred A. Knopf to create a unique online reading group guide aimed at encouraging acts of giving. The guide, which is available on reading group websites, includes a letter from Bill Clinton and discussion questions from the former president himself, including, "What skills do you possess that might be worth sharing with someone in need?" and "What are some easy steps you'd be willing to take to reduce your energy usage or the amount of waste you produce?" You can also find links to philanthropic resources that are highlighted in the bestselling book. Perfect fodder for a book club discussion or for a chat over a family meal.
